Our kids teach us things.
They show us what we need to work on.
They show us what we need to embrace.
They’re literally just spit out versions of us. Treat your kids how you WANTED to be treated as a child. Not how you WERE treated.
I see so many people say “I’m going to give my kids everything I didn’t have” and it’s alwaysssss materialistic things it’s never no knowledge. Teach them what you learned late. What you learned the hard way. Teach them everything. Don’t just spoil them with a bunch of toys and skip over what really matters.
It’s not important. They’ll remember who was there. What they were taught. How they were treated. Who they want to be like and who they don’t want to be like. Make sure you’re being the parent they’d want to be like and not the one they resent when they’re older because all they remembered was being spoiled but never having an emotional connection or a close bond with you. A lot of parents are just doing their part financially but are skipping over what’s most important. Loving and bonding with your kids. That’s what they’ll remember in the end💚.
