Some suggestions to make things easier for you.

Do not EVER feel guilty for putting your needs before your kids. It’s actually what you’re supposed to do anyway. You cannot take care of anyone else until you take care of yourself. Don’t let anyone guilt trip you neither. I come across a lot of moms who say our kids are supposed to come before us and you know what I can see with every single last one of those moms? They’re miserable because they forgot about themselves.. don’t let yourself go due to you being a mom. It’s absolutely okay to make sure you’re good first. You’d be able to give your best self to your kiddos! Not half you or drained you.

I noticed when I forget about myself throughout the day I’m way more emotional, drained, angry, agitated and overwhelmed. There are so many days I sit and just cry because this isn’t how I envisioned my life to be. Not a single mom @21yrs old.

On the bright side when I get myself together before them I’m happy. I dance with them. Have the energy to play with them and everything else. Put. Yourself. First.

1. Put them on a schedule.

2. Let them play in a certain area all day so you won’t have much to clean later on that night. Mine is preferably the living room.

3. If they’re getting on your nerves like nonstop go be by yourself. Even if they end up calling for you block it out until you feel better so you won’t be overwhelmed.

4. This part is if you want to lose mommy weight. Workout when they’re sleep. That’s what I do and luckily I have some weights and bands but even if you don’t have anything you can still do simple stuff. Sit ups, squats (using all your weight to feel the burn) jumping jacks, lunges, etc it’s so many things you can do without equipment. Don’t forget to drink your lemon and lime water throughout the day. That works wonders for me.

5. Journal at night, really sit with yourself and let all your feelings out release it all then go to bed. Breathe in….. Breathe out…

I know how hard it is to juggle all those things especially when you’re doing it alone. You have to do twice the work for everything. There is no breaks. Us moms are truly amazing 🤩.
